Introduction
These terms and conditions refer to the supply of goods by The Pretty Emporium where the goods have been ordered by customers via the internet, email, post or telephone.
Placing an order
When you (the customer) place an order you are making an offer to buy the goods you have specified at the price stated for those goods from us (The Pretty Emporium).
We will acknowledge your order by email to confirm that we have received your order. The confirmation will provide details of what you have ordered, the price that will be charged as well as the estimated dispatch and delivery information. This order acknowledgment is our acceptance of your order and at this point there will be a binding contract between you and us.
Our order acceptance will only cover the goods mentioned in it and may not cover all the goods you ordered. If this is the case then the offer you made for those additional goods will only be accepted when we send a further order acceptance.
Product Descriptions
Whilst we take every possible care to ensure that product descriptions and measurements on our website are correct, specifications are intended to give a general description and there may be slight variations in finish and colour due to either the hand-made nature of the item, the photographic process or computer software. If the price or description is obviously in error, we reserve the right to limit 'The Pretty Emporium' liability to the return of the money the customer has paid.
Price of goods
We try our best to display accurate and up to date prices, whether on our website or in store. However, because of the number of goods that we sell occasionally there are errors. We cannot state the definitive price until we send you the order acceptance.
If the price of goods is lower than expected then we will charge the lower price and dispatch the goods. If the price of goods is higher than expected we will ask for your confirmation that you wish to proceed with the order at this higher price.
Payment may be by PayPal, any credit or debit card with the exception of American Express and will be taken upon confirmation of the order.

Availability and dispatch of goods
We also do our best to ensure that all information on the website is accurate and complete and we accept no responsibility for errors made. The availability of goods is only an estimate and should not be relied on as definitive statements as to whether the goods you wish to purchase are actually in stock.
Certain products, due to their nature, may be in short supply. We aim to clearly indicate where this applies and early ordering is recommended. Some goods are bespoke and made to order.
Delivery of goods
Any times and dates given for delivery of goods are only estimates and based on normal operating conditions. If there will be a substantial delay to your order then we will give you the option to cancel the order or allow you to choose alternative goods. In the event that we cannot meet your order then any monies paid will be refunded. Although we would aim to deliver the goods in one installment we may deliver in one or more installments.
A signature will be requested on delivery. You can opt for delivery without a signature but you then accept the risk should any damage or loss occur as a result.
Standard delivery is 3 to 5 working days and costs £5.95 for all UK orders. For large items such as tables please contact us for delivery quotation.

Delivery charges and timescales for bespoke products vary by product and will be available at the time of ordering.
We can deliver to destinations outside of the UK, this service costs a flat rate of £65.00 for Ireland and £88 for the rest of the World per order. Prior to ordering please contact us as it may be possible to post smaller items at a reduced cost. Our delivery fees are calculated on an order value of £150 and weighing 4 Kg shipped via Global Priority, should the cost of shipping be less than the amount you have paid then we will happily refund the difference, once the items have been dispatched.
Returns and cancellation
We truly hope that you are happy with your item but if for any reason you are not, you may return it to us within 14 working days of receipt. Please contact us at theprettyemporium@hotmail.com to ask for the return and explain the reason for the return and you will be given the returns address. Please note, the item must be returned to us in the condition that it was sent to you, so please ensure the product is packaged as you received it so it does not get damaged in transit, unfortunately, we cannot cover the returns cost. To ensure the return comes back to us safely we advise that you ask for a proof of postage receipt.
Limitation of liability
If the goods we deliver are not what you ordered or are damaged or defective we shall have no liability to you unless you use reasonable efforts to notify us in writing by email theprettyemporium@hotmail.com or post within 10 working days of the delivery of the goods in question.
If you do not receive goods ordered by you within 30 days of the date in which you ordered them we shall have no liability to you unless you use reasonable efforts to notify us in writing by email to theprettyemporium@hotmail.com or post within 40 days of the date in which you ordered the goods.
In either of these circumstances our only obligation to you will be to make good any shortage or non-delivery, replace or repair any goods which are damaged or defective or to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question in whatever way we choose.
Save as precluded by law, we will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss, damage or expenses.
These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Only the customer and The Pretty Emporium have any rights or liabilities under these provisions.
The Pretty Emporium and the customer are both governed by the law of England and submit to its jurisdiction.
